Great site!! There are so many items laying on peoples property miles away from their own and there needs to be one site that people can go to search for that something special, or post that special thing they found to be returned to the original owner.God Bless all those effected by Ike.

FOUND a "mirror" approx. 14 in. round in Canal City on my property at 1063 Mabry Street. The mirror looks very old; probably was either in a vanity or frame before Ike got a hold of it! The mirror looks as if it has been "embelished". (by the owners)

Email me if it is yours . . .

Our neighbor, Ms.Becky Bell's house was destroyed. About a mile away over from N.Stingaree, we found her golf cart buried in the mud & muck & pulled it over to our slab at 972 S Redfish. Pretty sure it'll be all she'll have left from her house. I put her name, address, & my ph# if there are any questions. If you know Ms. Becky, pls let her know. Our thoughts and prayers have been with her.

NO ONE WILL BELIEVE THIS....But..My house is behind the Pirate's Grill, on East Road. Someone's hutch (?) washed into my downstairs room and parked there. This is strange because my washer, dryer and hot water heater left the room, yet this hutched parked in their place. Anyway, inside the antique furniture was a large amount of UNHARMED handmade glassware and stemware. I'm guessing some of this maybe from a wedding. One of the unique items included an Egyptian incense burner and a small bottle of vodka from the Netherlands. If you can tell me some of the other items, I will know it belongs to you. In my yard I found 50th wedding anniversary items. Please call Janet at 832-373-8026.

First off let me say if you lived in the Sand Dollar area (by the Islander) and also Emerald I more than likely your stuff is between Island Interiors and The Ships Wheel. Go to the piles nearest and behind the Wheel. I lived on Sand Dollar and have found 3 walls of my home and some of my stuff. Anyway - yesterday I was there looking for my mementos and found an oil painting that is a woman holding a parasail (sp??) with a tree laden background signed Linda 81, I also found a surf board that is teal green that says Liquid Shredder at the top and has a Sex Wax emblem on it. I also found a boogie board that is blue and red - all items found are in good to great shape. Email me and I will mail the painting and then figure out a way to get the surf board/boogie board back to its owner - we go down once every few weekends or so and can leave it for you or meet you to pick up.
Good Luck to all of you.

Found: If you are looking for items from Emerald one --especially from Wommack, Surfview, and Holiday streets -- you might want to look at the corner of East Road and North road behind Pirate's grill. I found the street signs from those streets in a huge debris pile where my house used to be. I also have a huge outside cross that was in the mud by my house. I propped it up on a tree by my house at 1068 East Road.

SEARCHING....hoping to find my grandmother's Bible which was enclosed in a ziplock bag and has the name Myrtle Puckett in it along with clippings, a lot of Reaves family data and all our family births, deaths, etc. from way back. Also hoping to find a pretty gnarly brown Paddington bear that is about 2 to 2.5 feet tall. He did not have on his Paddington jacket or floppy hat and probably would be in pretty bad shape by now but he is 35 years old and we would love to "rescue" him and clean him up if at all possible. Also looking for several paintings by Steve Hodges, especially one fairly large acrylic still-life of a table; one a water color of Fort Travis overlooking the Gulf and a low numbered print of abc blocks...all were framed, at least before the storm. Thanks for any help. This is a great site and a great idea. Anything I find not belonging to me I will post here.

If anything found please email to lgothia2@aol.com

My father had a beachhouse on Holiday Beach on Bolivar Peninsula. There was a wooden table approx. 3.5 ft x 5.5 ft that was built by my grandfather. It was a farmhouse table that was made of approx 8 inch pieces of wood and built with a supporting board along the bottom of the table near the floor. There was also a bench that he built. Very precious to the family since all 36 of my cousins have sat around it over the years. Know chances of recovery are slim, but would love it if someone found and called. Value is minimal, except for sentimental value.

I have a place on Smith Point. Ont the road there is a growing pack of clearly pets hunting together that didn't exist before Ike cleared out Boliver. If you are missing a pet from Bolivar or nearby check out FM 562 about 1 to 2 miles after the "y" that heads towards the road to High Island. The area is just in front of Judge Wilborn's home on 562 which is about 13 miles from Smith Point. If you had a pet that survived it is probably on Smith Point and the road is worth travelling. For more exact directions or descriptions of the dogs I've seen email at fishernash@charter.net.

FOUND A grey/brown tabby cat with stocking feet and green eyes. Very friendly and lovable. Found on stingray road. She ran up to us and seemed to be crying for help and would not go away. It was extremly cold that day and I did not have the heart to leave her. I cannot keep the cat and would like to find the owner or a good home. I bet if she could talk she would have some story about surviving IKE.

About a week ago I found a photo album burried under a panel of wood
near Lilly Lane and Alberdie(between Emerald II and NoisyWaves)
There are about 40 photos; mostly of a set of twins named JOANNE and
JAMIE around 1970. There was one labeled TYLER and what looked like W H OAKES written on the back. Amazing that something like that can still be retrieved but it isn't too late. These are badly damaged. Most are polaroids (therefore probably the only copies). I would be really happy to find them if they were mine. Hope someone can identify who lost them! angelbus80@hotmail.com

Ceramic frog with a floral pattern.. Found at Bolivar Yacht Basin - Sievers Cut. It's about 5-6 inches tall (pretty good size) .. If someone could identify with more detail, I would love to get this back to their owner... I know it doesn't seem like much but I hope it means something to someone!!

I made a mistake in the first post I made. The Dinnerware/China I found was found on "MR.G" street and not ave G as I had put.

I just discovered this site! Thanks so much for the efforts. We had a little house on Virgina Point, right on the bay - across from Tiki Island. All 24 houses are totally gone. During an early clean up I found what appears to be a collection of AIA Sandcastle Competition badges. They'll be pretty easy to identify if they belong to you. I also sent an email to AIA Houston describing the find. Contact Kim via email. kwalden@timscointernational.com

Across from Holiday Beach & Hwy. 87
A rabbit pitcher; minus the ears.
Broken, but a good memory.

Listed some time ago, what appeared to be a small urn. It might be a decorative item for furniture. Has bee on it.
